Rare opportunity to get a 964 CUP. This is # 88 of 120 cup cars produced in 1991.
The car was originally a 1991 964 Carrera CUP, which in 2000 was rebuilt by the company ALPO (Porsche part supplier) in Holland to a 993 RS Clubsport look. It is used only genuine parts in the reconstruction. This made it possible to get the car street approved. Only two street-legal 964 Cup in Norway .
The car has some race history, and it was driven by Gijs Van Lennep/Ben Pon. Gijs van Lennep is 2 times Le-Mans winner with a record for the longest distance ran in 1971 in the Porsche 917. This record stood until 2010. The tank lid was signed by Van Lennep in 2012 (see photo). Ben Pon imports Porsche in Holland and also other VAG brands, Caterpllar and Continental Tires.
After rebuilding, the car was sold to Albert Westerings (then President of the Porsche Club Holland). In 2003 the car was imported to Norway.
The car is licensed with the original welded roll cage and street approved. It was used in Club Racing, Road Sport and GT with overall victory in the PCN-R 2005, 2006 and 2007 and second place in 2008.
In 2009 the car was upgraded with respray, new chassis plus misc. After that, the car is only used for trackdays.
The car is originally Indischrot .
The car is sold for a customer.
